NSC and PDC support drop-in

PDC and NSC are joining forces this month to welcome researchers using PDC or NSC resources to an informal "PDC & NSC Cafe” that will be held online on Tuesday 19th May from 13:00-15:00. This is a chance for you to discuss any HPC-related problems associated with your research and get useful advice from the PDC and NSC application experts and other staff.

This provides an extra channel for support questions and other inquiries, where NSC and PDC staff will be available for direct discussions and help.

• One-to-one communication regarding an on-going support ticket
• Help with general Linux commands and working with a terminal
• Help with improving your batch and other scripts
• Help with installing software in your own account or project space
• Understanding file systems, storage allocations and quota
• Monitoring and understanding job performance and resource use
• Questions on login node usage and graphical tools
• Feedback – support services, documentation, available software, user-friendliness, ...
