Some NSC clusters require a second factor (i.e not just a password) when logging in. On these pages we describe how to use those clusters.

In this documentation, we use "2FA" as an abbreviation for "two-factor authentication".

The 2FA method we use is TOTP. To log in, you need to enter your password and then a 6-digit code generated by an app on your phone.

On clusters where we 2FA is available, it is no longer possible to login to Thinlinc using an SSH public key (regardless of whether 2FA is enabled on your account). Read more on the Thinlinc/2FA page
